Upper Mesopotamia

A tailor-made journey through southeastern Türkiye and Upper Mesopotamia opens onto a region shaped by some of the world’s earliest settlements and by thousands of years of cultural exchange. Depending on the interests and pace of each programme, the journey may lead to Şanlıurfa and Göbekli Tepe, where monumental prehistoric remains transform our understanding of early human society; to the stone-built city of Mardin, overlooking the Mesopotamian plain and reflecting centuries of coexistence between different faiths and communities; or to Diyarbakır, with its imposing basalt walls and rich urban heritage. Gaziantep may also form part of the journey, offering access to the extraordinary mosaics of ancient Zeugma and the Roman world of the Euphrates frontier. Together, these places reveal a region of exceptional archaeological depth, architecture, belief and living cultural traditions.
